Tilly’s Candles are vegan, handmade using eco-friendly 100% soy wax and do not use dyes. Fragrances used are vegan friendly, phthalate-free and paraben free. Candles are decorated using dried petals.
OUD: this candle releases an intoxicating musky scent normally derived from wood resin of the tropical Agar tree. One of the most expensive and sought after fragrances in the world, used in many religious ceremonies in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, China, Japan and India. This intriguing fragrance opens with citrus, juniper berries, blackcurrent, plum and cherry with hints of pine leading into a heart of rose, jasmin and ylang supported by warming spices resting on an intense base of precious wood, oudh, pachouli, amber and musk.
Oud comes from the wood of the tropical Agar (Aquilaria) tree, a genus that includes 15 different species. The tree is believed to have originated in the Assam region of India, from there spreading to populate Bangladesh and much of Southeast Asia. This unique fragrance is actually create when an Agar tree becomes infected with a parasitic fungus. It is the trees response to this fungus that produces this highly fragrant oil and is therefore extremely rare, with only an estimated 2% of all Agar trees producing the resin.
All candles are presented in black metal lidded tins with paper labels. These can be washed out and recycled/reused once finished. To do this, fill the tin with hot/boiling water, scrape the leftover wax from the bottom and allow the water to cool. The wax will then harden and can be removed.
All packaging can be recycled. Cardboard boxes and shredded paper are used for packaging and paper tape is used to secure.
Candle burn time- Approx 15 hours
Trim the wick to 4mm before burning the candle
When possible, allow a full melt pool to form on the first use before blowing the candle out.

Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings.
Only burn candle on a level, fire resistant surface.
Do not bun candle for longer than 3 hours at a time.
